Problem

Image is copied under the Glanceimage library path but is not discovered in OpenStack.

Environment

Platform9 Managed OpenStack - All Versions
Glance

Cause

The image is in a format that is not recognized by the qemu-img info command.

Resolution

Run qemu-img info command on the image

Backup the original image (optional)

Rename the image file to have one of the following extensions: .raw, .img, .dat, .bin
