Adding Custom CNAME Entries to OpenStack DNS Service (Designate)

Problem

A CNAME record maps a single alias or nickname to the real or actual name for a DNS record. You can map shorter easier to use names for long or frequently misspelled URLs.

Environment

• Platform9 Managed OpenStack - v3.1.0 and Higher
• OpenStack DNS Service (Designate)
• OpenStack CLI

Procedure

1. Create a recordset for the CNAME record using below command.

   1. Example: A CNAME record www.corp.example.org that points to www.example.com.

   None __
