Problem

• New node fails to onboard with error in ostackhost logs:

Environment

• Platform9 Managed OpenStack - v5.8.0 and Higher

• Rocky linux 9

Cause

• The issue occurred because cpu_model mentioned in nova_override.conf:

Resolution

• Remove cpu_model from /opt/pf9/etc/nova/conf.d/nova_override.conf on the affected host and restart below service:

• Now, verify if the node gets onboarded.
