Problem
Can the network subnet CIDR be changed from /24 to /22 to add more IP addresses in the subnet?
Environment
- Platform9 Managed OpenStack - All Versions
- Neutron
Answer
- For an existing network, there is currently NO option in OpenStack which allows changing a network's subnet CIDR range. However, one can log in to the Clarity UI and Edit the existing subnet details like Name, Gateway IP, Allocation Pools, etc as shown below.

- Also, to accommodate the extra IPs, you can create a new subnet within the same network with a /22 CIDR range by navigating through the Network section in the UI.
