• Scaling master node fails with error waiting for etcd members to start

Environment

• Platform9 Managed Kubernetes - v5.5.8

Cause

• There was a unstarted/stale etcd member in the cluster:

Resolution

• Identify the unstarted etcd member using below command:

• Remove unstarted etcd member:

• Try to scale the master node.
