Problem
Disk Upgrade failed during airgap management plane upgrade procedure with the below error.
Environment
- Platform9 Edge Cloud - All Versions
Answer
- Check the localhost entry in the
/etc/hostsfile on the management plane VM. - It should have correct entry for the localhost as mentioned below.
Example: /etc/hosts
xxxxxxxxxx# cat /etc/hosts127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6Additional Information
- While troubleshooting of this issue it was observed that the entry in the /etc/hosts file was incorrect.
- During the restore operation the
pf9deployscript tries connects to the MongoDB on the address 127.0.0.1 and port 27017. - If this connections does not happen then it errors out with the below error and the management upgrade fails with the error mentioned earlier.
Error in pf9-deploy-prepare-restore.log

pf9deploy-prepare-restore.logfile for the above mentioned error during troubleshooting.
